countdown: our wedding is in 30 days! whenever ppl ask where we're going on our honeymoon and i say curaçao, in response i inevitably get a blank or surprised look. i know, it's kinda one of those rarely known places. when i explain that it's one of the netherland antilles islands, northeast of venezuela, a lot of ppl ask how we decided on it. well, back in college i used to really like this drink lusty lizzard at the now defunct good time charley's. the alcohol in it was blue curacao. from then on, i've always been drawn to drinks w/ blue curacao in them. when tim and i started dating he told me that curaçao was actually an island... and that's how we came to be familiar w/ it. when it came time to deciding on a honeymoon locale, we wanted to go someplace neither of us had been. that was actually kinda difficult. in the end it came down to aruba and curaçao, and then based on many many reviews online, we decided on curaçao. see? it's not a weird decision, is it? ;)
